You could say dirt runs in the family — Nick Pemberton is a third-generation civil contractor who was always destined to build things (and probably break a few along the way). In 2011, ready to carve his own path, Nick bought Kettco Concrete, a small kerb and channel outfit. With a hands-on crew and a knack for perfection, they quickly made a name for themselves pouring some of the sharpest kerbs in the Waikato.

But Nick doesn’t sit still for long. With a digger in one hand (not literally) and big plans in the other, he expanded into siteworks — house pads, footpaths, driveways — anything that needed prepping and pouring.

By 2017, the vision had grown. Nick launched Nick Pemberton Construction alongside Safe Road Services, combining full-scale civil construction with in-house traffic management. One team. One plan. No excuses.
